The stress, the love, the pain, the experiences, the moments of your life... so much of what you experience is influenced by the lens through which you choose to see it.

REFRAME.

Clients hate it when I say it, but once they actually apply it, they’re quickly reminded why it’s such a powerful tool.

Get into an argument with someone and you’ll quickly realize just how many ways there are to see the exact same situation.

Perspective matters.

And one of the most powerful things you can do is take something you typically see one way and ask yourself:

What other ways are there to see this?

Not to pretend something painful isn’t painful. Not to force yourself into toxic positivity.

But to recognize that sometimes you have more than one interpretation available to you.

I’m lost.

Or am I on an adventure?

I’m late.

Or did things just not work out the way I planned, and now I get to listen to my music a little longer?

Something went wrong.

Or maybe this is an opportunity to learn, adjust, or experience something I wouldn’t have otherwise.

There are so many ways to flip a situation for the better.

And the better you get at finding those perspectives, the more control you have over how you experience your life.

You don’t always get to choose what happens.

But sometimes, you get to choose what it means.

Choose wisely.
